Dr. Daniel Fortin Chiropractor

Dr. Daniel Fortin, born in Alma, Lac St. Jean, Quebec Canada in December 1953, received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1976, after earning his undergraduate degree of Pure Science and its Application in 1973 from the College of Sherbrooke, in Quebec Canada. His forty years of private practice spans both Canada and The United States of America, beginning in Quebec in March of 1977 and migrating to Conyers, Georgia in 1988, where his office experiences a thriving practice to this present day. He currently maintains licenses both in the Province of Quebec by the “Order des Chiropracticiens du Quebec” since 1976 as well as in the State of Georgia by the Board of Chiropractic Examiners since 1979.

The professional affiliates Dr. Dan has been a member of includes the Georgia Chiropractic Association, Board of Directors of the Georgia Chiropractic Association Sports Council. The 1996 Atlanta Sports Chiropractic Advisory Committee, The American Chiropractic Association, The American Chiropractic Association Sports Council and functioned as a full member of (FICS) Federation Internationale de Chiropractique Sportive from 1991 – 2001. He also has held a membership with the College of Sports Sciences Canada from 1983 – 1986.

One of Dr. Dan’s most prestigious accomplishments is being appointed to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council, serving on the Medical Sub Committee from 1991 through 2005.

Among his other accomplishments, Dr. Dan has specialized in various types of sports Chiropractic since 1989 for local high schools in football and wrestling. Other distinguished sports Chiropractic includes Women’s Professional Racquetball, Coor’s Light pro-cycling teams in 1992 and 1994, Chiropractic Coordinator of the LaGrange International Track Team for the US Olympic Team from 1992-1996, Pan-African-USA International Track and Field Meet, North Carolina in 1992, Pre-Olympic Pan American Race Walk Cup in 1994 and as well as Chiropractor for the Women’s National Team Qualification for the World Cup Race walking, Orlando, Florida in 1995. Additionally, he served as Team Chiropractor in the Olympic Village during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also published in “Sports Talk” fall of 1995: Racewalking: More than a stroll In the Park.

This kind and ‘gentle’ man not only is an exceptionally proficient Chiropractor who is highly concerned about the health and wellness of his patients, but is also involved in community work through the Rockdale Rotary Club, working to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Dr. Dan has been a member since 1996, and served as President in 2004-2005.
